Crystal, Interior Stylist from Crystal Bailey & Co shares her tips on creating the perfect Mediterranean escape this entertaining season.
I am ALL about creating a welcoming home that feels like a holiday and for me that starts with the dining area.
This summer season will see us entertain our family and friends more than ever, there has never been a better time to get your home ready for the festive season with everything you will possibly need from Supa Centa Moore Park!
Starting with a beautiful timeless dining table made from rustic timber, adding warmth and character, matched with rattan dining chairs to bring personality into the space. By incorporating feature lighting, like this stunning bamboo pendant light from Oz Design, it casts a beautiful pattern across the dining room and makes it a space that you won’t want to leave.
Add a matching buffet for extra storage and use it to display your favourite pieces or sound system like this amazing Sonos sound bar from The Good Guys! When it comes to styling your buffet it’s important to play around with different heights and shapes to balance out the dining space and create interest. My tip is to make sure you have space between each item so it doesn’t look cluttered.
Floor rugs really define the space, so if you can add one that’s larger than your dining table, it will ground it and make the room feel cosy! Not just for the cooler seasons, I’ve chosen one made from jute from Coppola Home so it’s easy to clean and works in with the warmer weather too.
The entire dining room is a blend of natural materials and textures such as rattan, jute, rustic timber and antique brass, which creates that holiday look and feel.
My tip for bringing this space to life is to add plants in various heights and shapes. You can find some incredibly realistic ones which you know will last forever at a variety of stores throughout Supa Centa Moore Park.
